New North Haven Co-op!

The BHC has just purchased North Haven an 8 unit apartment building on the corner of 9th and North Street. We will convert to, a permanently affordable, rental co-op, that will be home to 22 residents. The building was purchased with generous support from the City of Boulder Division of Housing ($400,000 grant) and the Boulder County Commissioners through the Worthy Cause program ($190,000 grant). This is a huge step for the BHC as we will almost double the number of low income residents we serve from 25 to at least 47.  The building is currently undergoing a major renovation as we transform the 8 unit apartment building into a state of the art affordable cooperative that will have 2 two-bedroom apartments for families, (APARTMENTS ARE FULL AS OF AUGUST 2013) 18 other bedrooms and a deep green retrofit.

The new co-op is set to open on September 8th of 2013! Its in a great location near North Boulder Park and we are currently looking for folks who want to live in the new co-op so Apply Now!

Masala Cooperative Goes Solar!

Thanks to a generous grant from the City of Boulder ClimateSmart Grant Program, the BHC was able to install photovoltaic panels at the Masala cooperative in 2010.

The Boulder Housing Coalition would like to thank the following organizations for their generous support of this project:
