Community Supported Agriculture

Chrysalis and Masala both make extensive use of local Community Support Agriculture (CSA) programs.

With a CSA, the house buys one or more “shares” of a farm at the begining of the growing season. This helps local farms support their operations throughout the year and in exchange the house receives bags of seasonal produce each week.

Local CSAs patronized by BHC member houses include:

  • Monroe Organic Farms
  • The Andrews Family Organic Farm
