“Chrysalis is a constantly evolving community committed to environmental sustainability, personal growth, human diversity, and engagement in the community at large.”

We are tentatively full until August 1, 2015. Rooms do open up unexpectedly, however, and they generally go to folks who have visited and hang out at the House! So stop by soon!
The Chrysalis Cooperative, home of the BHC’s first solar project, is a consensus-based mostly vegetarian co-op in a large old house with lots of character. Chrysalis is located in downtown Boulder, one block from Pearl Street. Chrysalians live lightly, buy food together, and share dinners, chores, and good times. Chrysalis values affordable living, environmental sustainability, conscious community, and human diversity.
Chrysalis co-op buys mostly organic and as much local food as possible. The House works closely with local food organizations such as Boulder Food Rescue and The Second Kitchen. While not all Chrysalians are vegetarian, meat is not allowed in community meals (but is allowed in the house).
While House members are free to be their own spirit and use their time as they wish, building community through meals and House events is a big aspect of living at Chrysalis. The support and cooperation derived from fellow House members is an incredible benefit of the Chrysalis lifestyle.
Many colorful folks have lived at Chrysalis in past years. View those who have dwelled in the cocoon. Will you be on this list?
