Chrysalis Co-op Goes Solar

Thanks to a series of generous grants from local and regional sources, the BHC was able to install photovoltaic panels at the Chrysalis cooperative in early 2009.

The Boulder Housing Coalition would like to thank the following organizations for their generous support of this project:

This 4.4kw solar array compensates for a significant fraction of Chrysalis Co-op’s total energy usage.

The Boulder Housing Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Housing Development Organization dedicated to creating affordable, community-enhancing, cooperative housing for the people of Boulder county. We currently own two permanently affordable rental coopertives that are located in central Boulder and are home to 24 residents.

Together these houses make up the first affordable cooperative housing system in Colorado. We are working to create a federation of housing cooperatives that will provide both affordable rental and homeownership opportunites.
